The cost of a branded polo comes down to three things: the garment, the decoration and delivery. Once you know how each part is priced, it's easy to work out a budget for your team.
This 2026 guide uses Workwear Mart's own published prices. All prices are shown + GST. Garment prices vary by brand and style and can change, so always check the product page for the current price.
How much does a branded polo shirt cost?
A branded polo costs the garment price plus the decoration price. At Workwear Mart, front embroidery is $12 + GST per polo (plus a one-time $59 + GST setup per logo), and a front DTF print is $10 + GST per polo with no setup.
At the time of writing, stock polos in our polo shirt range start from $11.99 + GST, with prices rising for heavier fabrics, premium brands and specialist styles. Delivery is a flat $24.90 per order, however many garments you order.
What does each part of the price cover?
The garment price covers the blank polo. The decoration price covers putting your logo on it. The setup fee, if you choose embroidery, covers digitising your logo into a stitch file.
| Cost item | Price | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Front embroidery | $12 + GST per garment | Up to 6,000 stitches, e.g. a left chest logo |
| Back embroidery | $20 + GST per garment | Up to 15,000 stitches |
| Embroidery setup | $59 + GST once per logo | Not charged again on reorders |
| Front DTF print | $10 + GST per garment | No setup fee |
| Back DTF print | $20 + GST per garment | No setup fee |
| Delivery | $24.90 flat per order | Australia-wide |
What does a typical order of 10 polos cost?
Here is a worked example using an example garment price of $20 + GST per polo. Swap in the actual price of the polo you choose.
- With front embroidery: 10 polos ($200) + 10 front logos ($120) + setup ($59) = $379 + GST, plus $24.90 delivery.
- With a front DTF print: 10 polos ($200) + 10 front prints ($100) = $300 + GST, plus $24.90 delivery.
- Reorder of 10 with the same embroidered logo: 10 polos ($200) + 10 front logos ($120) = $320 + GST, plus $24.90 delivery. No setup this time.
The setup fee has the biggest effect on small first orders. Spread over 10 polos, it adds $5.90 + GST per polo. Spread over 30, it adds about $1.97 + GST per polo. On a reorder, it adds nothing.
Are there fixed-price polo deals?
Yes. Workwear Mart has a few fixed-price deals that include the garments and your logo, which makes budgeting simple.
- $199 polo and cap deals: 3 polos or tees plus 3 caps or bucket hats, with your logo on the front of every item, for $199 + GST. Options include Winning Spirit polos and AS Colour tees.
- Sublimated team polos: 5 polos from $210 + GST, with your logo front and back included. Larger packs bring the per-garment price down, for example 20 polos for $749 + GST.
- Hi-vis polo deal: at the time of writing, 5 hi-vis polos for $240 + GST, with your logo front and back.
You can compare all current packs on the team uniform deals page.
What makes a branded polo cost more or less?
The main cost drivers are the garment you choose, how many logo positions you add, and whether you choose embroidery or print. Order size matters mostly because it spreads the one-time setup fee.
- Garment choice. Brand, fabric weight, fibre (cotton, polyester, bamboo blends) and features like pockets or contrast panels all affect the garment price.
- Number of logo positions. A front logo only is the simplest. Adding a back logo adds $20 + GST per garment for either method.
- Embroidery or DTF. DTF has no setup and a lower front price. Embroidery has a one-time setup but a textured, stitched finish many businesses prefer on polos.
- Logo size. Front embroidery covers up to 6,000 stitches and back embroidery up to 15,000 stitches. Most chest logos sit comfortably within the front allowance.
- Reorders. Your artwork is kept on file, so reorders with the same logo skip the setup fee.
Is there a minimum order?
The minimum order is 5 decorated items. You can mix sizes and colours within the order, so a team of five with different sizes still qualifies.
If you need several garment types, the kit builder is another way to put together a kit for your team in one go.
How long does a polo order take?
You get a free digital proof within 24 hours, and nothing is made until you approve it. Production usually takes 2–4 weeks after approval.
Delivery after despatch usually takes 3–7 working days to metro areas and 5–10 working days to regional areas. These are estimates, not guarantees, so allow extra time if you have an event or start date.
How can I keep the cost down?
A few simple choices help keep a polo order within budget without cutting corners:
- Start with a front logo only and add a back logo later if you need it.
- Choose DTF if you only need a small one-off order and want to avoid the setup fee.
- Choose embroidery if you expect to reorder, because the setup is a one-time cost.
- Order for the whole team at once to make the most of the flat $24.90 delivery.
- Look at the fixed-price deals if they suit your team size.
